THE CHALLENGES: LOW WATER PRESSURE
This big league Texas city houses some of the nation’s worst water pipes, most of which are galvanized steel. Many of the galvanized pipes in one 40-year-old building were so badly corroded and built up with corroded materials, water was completely restricted. Some tenants in the building could not even receive hot water at times. In some areas where the old galvanized pipes were re-piped with copper, holes developed, causing water damages to the individual units. Many of the tenants were frustrated and were committed to finding a long-term solution to their problems.
THE SOLUTION: THE CURAFLO ENGINEERED FLOW LINING SYSTEM®
Using specialized machinery and an experienced crew, CuraFlo of San Antonio cleaned out the pipes and then lined them with a safe and durable epoxy which corrected the current pipe problems and prevented any more in the future. | | | | | | In total, CuraFlo of San Antonio lined 5,262 feet of pipe in this particular building. Time span to complete the project was exactly three months and one day -- a fraction of the time of a total repiping job. Since the CuraFlo process is a non-invasive procedure, all tenants remained occupied during the entire process. |
