NEW PROJECTS

Extraco Bank in Temple, TX chooses CuraFlo to solve pipe problems

Extraco Bank in Temple, TX has chosen CuraFlo to install its proprietary Engineered Flow Lining System® throughout the ten-story building. The 55-year-old Extraco Bank Building houses an active bank as well as several other tenants including a law firm and dental office. The building, which has mostly galvanized piping, has been suffering from typical pipe problems: pitting, pinhole leaks, and low water flow. CuraFlo’s epoxy lining will be installed with little or no downtime while the bank and commercial tenants continue to do business.

MEET THE CURAFLO TEAM

Dean Latshaw, CuraFlo Foreman

Have you always been involved in construction?
"Yes, since I was a teen. I eagerly developed and applied both my mechanical and constructive skills to building structures and cabinets that were usable."

As a foreman, what is the best aspect of your job?
"Thoroughly investigating the job and providing an accurate timetable to ensure that the customer is provided with a custom-tailored solution to fit their needs."

What is the most unusual occurrence you have seen on the job?
"To date it would be the decay of the galvanized pipe and how the [CuraFlo] process can alleviate even the most damaged or cancerous pipe."

What's great about epoxy lining?
"That there are so many different applications and the process allows for the customer to experience a non-invasive process which resolves most pipe problems."

What is your favorite tool and why?
"A pair of channel locks because of its multiple uses."

FEATURE

CuraFlo holds Lining Certification Training

February 1-4, CuraFlo held Lining Certification Training for epoxy lining technicians at its corporate headquarters in Beachwood, OH. Taught by CuraFlo British Columbia's Senior Foreman and Manager of Technical Training, Karl Schmid, these four-day training sessions provide new CuraFlo lining technicians with classroom and hands-on experience with its Engineered Flow Lining System.

Technicians must complete an initial training session and pass a comprehensive written examination before they are certified to work with CuraFlo equipment and epoxies in the field. Certified technicians return for future training sessions to be updated on improvements and new products. These mandatory ongoing training classes are required by CuraFlo as part of its commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
